If you’ve just moved to Denver, you need to make sure you are all caught up with the teams of the area. Local Denver moving company All My Sons has a long history helping move locals to their new homes. Even if you aren’t a Denver fan, it helps to know more about the team that hails from the city you are a part of. Superbowl XLVIII champions, the Denver Broncos have a great sense of history and passion. Here are some Denver Broncos facts that might be surprising, or at least pretty interesting:
Number 18 – Most will recognize that this is the now former Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning’s number. Originally it was retired in 1963 to honor the first Bronco’s quarterback Frank Tripucka. When Manning decided to make the move to Denver, the number was brought out of retirement with the blessing of Tripucka himself.
Robin Williams – One of the most surprising Denver Broncos facts is that their first male cheerleader was the funny man himself. In a show in 1979, Williams pulled a stunt off at the half time show and rallied over 70,000 Denver fans. A few days later, the footage appeared in the hit show Mork & Mindy in which Williams played the title character. No local Denver moving company could compare to moving that many people at once!
South Park – It might surprise anyone to know that the two most cynical funny men in showbiz, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of South Park, are big Denver Bronco fans. They even sent coach Elway tickets to their hit musical The Book of Mormon, only to learn that he had already seen and raved about the show. Now that has to be one of the Denver Broncos facts we are sure you didn’t know.
