If you are a Colorado football fan you are probably doing your touchdown happy dance at the rumor of a new CSU football stadium.
Earlier this month, Colorado State University President Tony Frank announced his proposal for the reconstruction of the campus’ football stadium. Last week, the Board of Governors was scheduled to vote on the plans in order to move forward.
The President made the recommendation based off of the fact that the university would either spend $36 million over the next 10 years in order to maintain the current stadium, or $149 million to renovate it to last another 30 to 40 years. The President’s option calls for roughly $195 million to build an entirely new campus stadium that could survive 30 to 40 years.
Although CSU football fans may love the idea, oppositions to the plan include the concerns that building an on-campus stadium would hurt local business and neighborhoods.
Local Denver moving companies support both the CSU football team and our neighborhood residents, so we encourage anyone who would like to voice their opinion on the stadium’s construction plan to make it to the public meetings.
